HOUSTON (August 30, 2011) – NiSource Gas Transmission & Storage (NGT&S) today announced that it has awarded a grant of $20,000 from the NiSource Charitable Foundation to Camp For All. The grant supports improvements in Camp For All’s ropes challenge course program.

Camp For All check presentation“NGT&S is committed to encouraging, recognizing and supporting local organizations across our operational footprint,” said Joseph A. Blount, NiSource Energy Ventures President and COO. “We are proud of our role in helping build strong and sustainable communities where our employees and customers live and work.”

Camp For All is a barrier free camp that works in partnership with other non-profits to enrich the lives of children and adults with challenging illnesses or special needs. The challenge course is designed to enhance self-confidence and self-esteem and to teach campers to work together as a team.

“This gift from NiSource helps us to provide a challenge course where children with special needs are able to realize what they CAN do, rather than what they can't," said Camp For All President and CEO Pat Sorrells. "The course improvements enabled by these funds improve accessibility and ensure an exciting and universal challenge course, opening up our doors to even more campers.”
