Charles E. Moran
Vice President, External Affairs and Communications
Charles E. Moran serves as Vice President, External Affairs and Communications for NiSource’s Gas Transmission and Storage (NGT&S) business segment. In this role, he coordinates NGT&S’ government relations, community affairs, charitable giving, customer communications and employee engagement efforts.
Chuck began his career with NiSource in 1998, serving as a Community and Government Relations Manager and later as Director of Communications for Columbia Gas of Massachusetts (formerly Bay State Gas Company) and Northern Utilities (Maine and New Hampshire.) He then served as NiSource’s Director of Internal Communications & Foundation Relations, where he directed the company’s internal communications efforts while also serving as Executive Director of the NiSource Charitable Foundation. Before his current position, he served as Vice President of Communications Strategies for NiSource’s Gas Distribution companies and NIPSCO, NiSource’s combined gas and electric utility in Northern Indiana.
He received his Bachelor of Arts in political science from Merrimack College in 1991 and a Masters in Public Administration from the American International College in 1998.
Chuck volunteers his time for a number of charitable organizations and serves as a board member of the Public Affairs Council and the American Gas Association’s Marketing and Communications Committee.
