Waste Heat Recovery Opportunities

Some NGTS compressor stations may offer opportunities for electric power generation from turbine compressor waste heat. This can promote energy efficiency and reduce green house gases by using existing power sources for power generation without burning additional fuels.

In conjunction with the Interstate Natural Gas Pipeline Association of America, the NiSource Gas Transmission & Storage companies are posting a list of its compressor stations where waste heat recovery may be economically feasible.

NGTS inventory of turbine compressor station where waste heat power generation may be feasible.

NGTS will consider working in partnership with third-party developers interested in compressor heat recovery for power generation. For information about opportunities at NGTS, contact Randy Sturgill at 304 722-8557. For more information about waste heat recovery, visit the INGAA web site.
